Envisioned to become a recreational center for sports entertainment and exhibition venue, the Cebu Megadome promises to be an architectural landmark in the growing urban scape of the queen city of the south. Its design was chosen from a two month long competition open to all professional architects in the country in which Ar. Topy Vasquez became the contending finalist.

Iconic as one of the top considerations of the design, the structure takes it's form from the galleons of Magellan that landed in Mactan in 1521.
