Sprawling at about 14 hectares, Panglao Island Nature Resort has become one of the most visited resorts in the quaint island of Bohol. Since it opened for business back in 1996, the resort has activated its local tourism and maintained it at its prime for what it is today.
Unlike its neighboring beaches, the site sits on a cliff side property with a limited shoreline. TVAP transforms this weakness by creating a well-designed masterplan that capitalizes on the resort experience as opposed to just exploiting the beautiful view.
Three rows of cottages in different elevations line up from the shore line. The first layer is the seaview cottage which is designed at a 45 degree angle overlooking the beach with a jacuzzi sitting on every corner of the deck to achieve the same infinity effect as the common pool. The next layer of cottage behind it are duplex cottages which takes advantage of the lush natural garden and finally the forest cottages which comes in pairs and offers a more natural backdrop as it is situated on top of the property's existing cave.
The masterdevelopment plan begins on an experiential entrance with a man-made Mahogany tree tunnel that ends with a dramatic drop-off leading to the main reception hall. This area which serves as the "living room" of the property is where you will also find the main restaurant, bar, swimming pool, business center, souvenir shop, game room and other amenities. They are distinctly marked with a glass apex that lights up at night for guest way-finding.
Other facilities strategically placed on site are the following: a 500 pax capacity glass canopy outdoor events area, a spa with its own swimming pool, tennis courts, and indoor function hall. Future expansion and major renovation is already in the works and a forest lagoon surrounded with treehouses on its currently reserved area will complete this beautiful and timeless masterpiece.
