Founded in October 26, 1993 by Topy Vasquez, the firm is composed of new generation of Architects with a shared purpose of promoting world-class design concepts and technological innovations in a rapidly developing country. It considers the diverse professional background of its major partners as its strongest asset in the highly competitive field of architectural design.From residential mansions to high-rise buildings, from vacation houses to international beach resorts, the firm’s designers apply their distinct creative touch to make every building or development an absolute pride for its owners.
The company believes that continuous research is the key to maintaining a progressive architectural design firm. For this reason, the company participates actively in seminars, conventions, exhibits and product presentations. Extensive research is also conducted through international travel & design books, magazines and the internet with the prospect of introducing new products to improve the standard of design and construction in the Philippines.
The firm adheres closely to international standards in the preparation of working drawings, master specifications and contract documents. Latest advancements in computer drafting technology are applied not only in the preparation of working drawings but also in its presentations to clients. In 2017 TVAP marked a new and exciting chapter as the company entered its 25th year lead by Toni Vasquez-Shawan who succeeds her father, the late Topy Vasquez, as the new Principal Architect & CEO of this proud architectural firm. Highly trained in design, construction and client relations from local and international practices, she takes on the company under her wing with a fortified vision of establishing TVAP as a recognized global brand in Design. Since the start of her tenure, the company has successfully been involved with projects from Los Angeles and Las Vegas, USA.
Consistent to this objective, T I VASQUEZ ARCHITECTS & PLANNERS INC. maintains close affiliation with local and foreign architects such as Yoshihide Tamura of Osaka, Japan, Consulting Engineering Group, from Doha, Qatar & Cairo, Egypt and PAE from Tokyo, Japan and USA.
It’s about social relevance — one’s worth being measured by what he gives and not by what he gains. Trained under Topy Vasquez, we are a group of architects who aim to be a positive force in the profession and contribute to the patrimony of the nation. Teaching and mentorship towards the next generation of architects is a duty every TVAP architect takes on; at TVAP we don’t withhold what we know — we encourage dialogue and the exchange of skills.
In memory of our founder, TVAP partners with Southwestern University PHINMA on the Topy Vasquez Architecture Grant, a financial subsidy for architecture students of the SWU PHINMA School of Design + Communication. Beyond the structures he designed, his greatest legacy lies in the people he shaped and the values he instilled.
